Full of salt sand
Burned partially from

even when I
was warned not to
please use them as soft
invitations to

repentance for those
who now choke
on the guzzled limbs and blood
of wombs broke

conveying the truth
that God forgives
all who change their minds
and are ready to live

If my own history
of idolatry
and pursuit of thrills
is best to be

displayed as a
cause-and-effect
lessons for the young
their paths not yet set

they being lured by
shackles with a candied taste
sirens in the swamps
smeared with pleasure paste

I’ll take them to the pits
Where Faces are tossed
and mumble admit
that they were all my watch

If my face- where are written
the crease scripts
of my past foolishness
and disobedience

is best served
to be ridiculed
a target rag for spit
wrung into mocker fuel

shine a light on it and those
wielding tumored tongues
these agents of the Destroyer
we’ve substituted for the Son

may the masses laugh nervously
wondering when the cacklers will hone-
in on their own past sins
never passed over by mob stones

And if any goodness
comes from any of this
Let not pride find a limb
on which to rest

As a tree is wont to
crow of its own beauty
feathers and songs along
with its leaves

So I’m libel to lose
my vigilance
Bask boasting in my
accomplishments

The few times I did what was right
